Slow Food Portland
Slow Food seeks to reconnect people with the food they eat and the cultures, community, and production behind it. At the heart (and belly) of our activities, we believe that every individual has a right to Good, Clean, and Fair food in their daily life. Through lectures, tours, cooking demonstrations, volunteer days, and other local events, Slow Food Portland works to engage our community with the broader food movement. |

Grand Central Bakery
"Artisan breads differ from day to day and from loaf to loaf. Variations of shape, color, and texture are testimony to the human touch that is the essence of these breads and to the organic nature of bread itself. As we naturally assess our first sip of a bottle of wine, so too do we make fine distinctions in our daily loaf." - Gwyneth Bassetti, founder of Grand Central Bakery

Wonderful Eggs & Meats from Nicky USA
Geoff from Nicky USA is working on local farm fresh eggs for the breakfast sandwiches and the egg salad sandwich. Our goal is to provide the widest variety of sustainable, free range game birds & meats. In doing so, we strive to enhance the public's culinary education & titillate their palate with exquisite game. To fulfill this goal we, by necessity, must consider many things. When I look at land I think of what can be raised there - and what must be returned to the land, that it may continue to give.
HOTLIPS Soda
HOTLIPS Soda is real fruit soda pop. Picked-ripe fruit is cooked in open kettles, bringing out the nuanced flavors. Seeds are filtered out, but not pulp, then water, pure cane sugar and organic lemon juice are added. Then it is carbonated, put into bottles and pasteurized. It's simple. High percentages of real fruit, no shortcuts, supplements, artificial flavors, concentrates or trickery-- and no corn syrup. Even the bottles are local, manufactured from 80% recycled glass right here in Portland. www.hotlipssoda.com |

viridian farms
We love to eat at unique, local restaurants. Search for
heirloom seeds in southern Europe. Cook for our friends
...and grow exceptional produce for creative chefs.
With a constant eye on sustainability, we collaborate
to attain gastronomic harmony, blending culinary and
agricultural traditions with new farming techniques.
We believe that food is beautiful. Complex. Expressive.
It is distinct from year to year, and season to season. It
communicates emotions and culture; and while it provides
nourishment, it has a very short life span - enjoyed for a
brief moment in what may have taken years to produce.
We are farmers and this is our craft.
